Dr Willem Burger (BSc MEd DEd)
Previously Deputy Chief Director of Education (Natural Sciences), well-known for curriculum development in Agricultural Education and Training and special expertise in assessment and moderation.
Dr Marita Burger ( BCom MEd PhD)
Previously Superintendent of Education (Vocational Education), author of several publications in the HR Management and Economic Sciences, expert in learning programme design, training and assessment.
Our Research
The directors of CURMO Designs (Pty) Ltd have contributed extensively to educational and economic development research. Flexible instruments were developed to conduct assessment of development status and needs, providing for qualitative and quantitative dimensions and data interpretation.
CURMO has conducted several research projects including situation analyses, pilot demonstrations, project assessment and reports.
Both directors have also individually been involved in research and development. These include educational research by Dr WP Burger in identified African countries, Israel, and several states of the United States.
Comparative studies regarding adult education were conducted by Dr MM Burger on policy and practice in India, Indonesia, Soviet Union as well as Nigeria, available at Pretoria University library, www.up.ac.za, catalogue/title: A model for implementing basic education and training in the developing regions of South Africa.
