I have extensive experience and find much enjoyment in literature research and curriculum development. I have developed and implemented numerous learning and economic development programmes.  Over the years I have designed, developed and published textbooks and written course materials for numerous courses – mainly Business Economics, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Agricultural sciences, Agricultural Management Practices, Labour Relations and Human Resource Management. I have offered numerous programmes to learners whereby I not only developed academic skills, but whereby I taught them to think creatively and critically and to develop confidence in themselves. Regarded as a very good teacher, always acting professionally, and taking responsibilities seriously.

I am well-read and informed about Development Economics including land reform issues, not only of South Africa but also of other countries and on models applied to address them.

I have extensive knowledge in different fields of study and have the ability to learn and apply new learning areas and practices.

I have very good writing skills and can put together documents and reports in a short space of time.

I write freelance articles, mainly on education, development economics and political and social issues.

I have twice been a finalist in an Afrikaans poetry competition (Free State University, Woordfees Stellenbosch) and was tasked by Vivlia Publishers to compile Afrikaans short story books for grade 10 and 11. Afrikaans poetry also included in publication by the Breederivier Skrywersvereniging.

Published, Soos die Manatoka. Vervreemd/Vergeefs. Gedigte. 2020. Erfenis Publikasies.

Initiated and managed a community college in Soshanguve 1987 – 1992, giving support to entrepreneurs.  This successful private community outreach programme was supported and funded by The Small Business Institute. Potchefstroom, SA Tobacco Co, BMW, SA Breweries and the College for Continuing Training. The programme trained and benefited small business owners in Soshanguve and as far as Mamelodi and Atteridgeville. This popular programme (sadly) had to be stopped when I got promoted to Head Office, Pretoria.

I have been involved personally, in one or other way, in most of the communities where we have implemented projects as well as with learners enrolling for courses. I have always kept an open line to learners and provide continuous support with regard to personal & career issues.

Have served on Democratic Alliance (DA) Provincial selection committee for Free State, i.e. for selection of MPs and MPLs as well on Local Council selection committee, Dihlabeng, Eastern Freestate.
